Zac was on tour with his band, Paramore, during the creation of this project. We staged a series of casual chats about his upcoming EP. Through those calls, this evolved from a small EP to a more significant full length album.
Zac is a hilarious and serious person and I wanted the audience to feel that from just seeing the cover. We eventually locked into 'City Talk' as the name, a loose reference to the 'city pop' genre, and the rest fell into place. Later, we put a team together to shoot a cover that felt taller than a skyscraper. From there, the shoot and accompanying press photos came together with ease.
